4 Small Changes to Lose Weight Fast

4 Small Changes to Lose Weight Fast

It is possible to make just 4 small changes in your life that will make you lose weight fast and start dropping the pounds on autopilot. These are things which the majority of us do, without thinking, that sabotage our efforts to be slim and trim, and these are the most probable culprits as to why so many of our attempts at dieting fail so spectacularly.

I can't. Where are the magic pills? It sounds so easy, so what do I have to take? I tried that before and it didn't work! That won't work because it doesn't cost anything. I can't. There is NO WAY I'm giving THAT up! But I switched to DIET soft drinks.

Any of those sound familiar? Maybe you have even said something like that yourself. It doesn't matter and you can do it. In fact, that is the first small change you can make and will be the one that will most likely have the most impact as well.

Here are the things you can change to lose weight fast:

Change Your Attitude - One of the biggest contributors to failing diets is the fact that the person attempting to lose weight doesn't think they can do it, and they consequently always prove themselves correct. In order to lose weight fast you have to first believe that you can.

Change Your Diet - When it comes to dieting, many people think it has more to do with how much you eat, and not so much with exactly what you are eating. And they fail. Your body will not let you starve yourself to a new and better you, in fact, just the opposite will happen. If your body thinks it is not getting enough food, it will start storing everything it does get, as more fat. So this should really be: change what you eat.

Here goes the easy part: eat a well-balanced diet of good, wholesome and natural foods, and follow your doctor's advice for eating.

Here's the hard part: remove (and I mean take out of the house completely) all pre-packaged, processed, or canned food from your diet. Yes, that especially means white bread. Get rid of anything with sugar added, or artificially sweetened with aspartame (NutraSweet), sucralose (Splenda) and anything sweetened with high fructose corn syrup. That does mean no soda, and especially no diet drinks. Try water instead, and in fact, try at least 8 to 10 glasses of water each and every day. Oh, and stay as far away as you can from any fast food joint.

Change Your Activity - Get up and start moving. Best advice I ever heard from a doctor on losing weight was this, "Eat less and move more." Profound, wouldn't you agree? The more you move and challenge your body with increasing activity levels, the more your metabolism will increase and your body will actually start using the stored fat that is already there, instead of trying to put more away in storage around your middle. Get your doctor's advice on any limits on your activities, but the idea here is to just move more. If you can't yet start an exercise program, but you can walk, then every day set aside a time and walk as far and as fast as you are able. Try to go a little more each day.

Change Your Direction - Set goals for yourself and your life. Write them down. How are you going to get anywhere if you don't even know where you are going? Set realistic and attainable goals, but do challenge yourself. To help you with your health, fitness and weight goals, find a good weight loss program and stick with it. Having an organized and consistent routine will help keep you on track to accomplish your goals.

Make these simple, yet profound changes in your life and you will not only lose weight fat, you will be a lot healthier, sleep better at night and have more energy and clearer thoughts during the day.
