13 Finger-Licking Weight loss Snack Ideas
Trying to lose weight? Sick of eating tasteless food, and wondering how to introduce flavour into your weight loss diet?

Here are 13 weight loss snack ideas that are quick, healthy, low calorie, but most importantly, delicious! Because losing weight does not have to be miserable. For it to work, and for you to stick to it, it's gotta be fun.

#1: Take a small sliced apple, and spread walnut butter (or peanut butter, if you prefer that) thinly across each slice

#2: Put 2 slices of turkey on a slice of whole wheat bread, and top it with tomato, for a quick, filling low fat sandwich

#3: For all you tortilla fans out there - 5 baked tortilla chips with some low-fat bean dip to satisfy your hunger completely.

#4: I love fruit in the berry family, and start every morning with a cup of low-fat yogurt mixed with a cup of strawberries or berries

#5: Peeled and sliced eggplant, broiled and seasoned with salt, pepper and lemon juice. This is really, really low-fat - only 18 calories for 3 slices - making it perfect for a weight loss snack, or a side dish.



#6: A peach, pear or your favorite fruit with half a cup low-fat cottage cheese

#7: My personal favorite - a fruit and yogurt smoothie. Add some ice, and you're good to go. Yum!

Weight loss snack #8: Baked sweet potato with some low-fat cottage cheese - just pop it into the microwave for a real quickie, though baking the potato in the oven adds a flavor you wouldn't want to miss.

#9: Frozen grapes are a great weight loss snack - you'll be surprised at how good they taste! And I love that satisfying CRUNCH.

#10: A cup of baby carrots dipped into hummus

#11: 5 whole grain cracker with some reduced-fat cheese. I like to spread a thin layer of ketchup on the cracker, and then melt the cheese on top in a toaster oven, or if you haven't got one, the microwave and oven will do just as well.

#12: A cup of raisins mixed with unsalted nuts

#13: A cup of orange juice, frozen - this snack is a real summer treat...for me and the kids. The good thing about it, besides for taste (and you can choose whatever juice you like) is that it takes a long while to eat - great for when you're in nibble mode.

One word of caution: Just make sure not to go overboard - too much snacking (even of the low calorie stuff) won't help those tires round your middle disappear.
