It must be said initially that losing weight quickly is never a better option than shedding a few pounds gradually because your body has adjusted itself to your current weight and to lose quite a lot of weight in a very short period of time could cause you to become ill.

2) Eat a portion of fruit before your meals. Another great tip! Not only will this quench your hunger making you eat less but this will also help you to achieve your recommended five a day portion. Fruit as you know is an excellent source of vitamins so as well as helping you to lose weight you are also becoming healthier.

3) Choose healthy snacks. If you are one for snacking on chocolate, crisps, biscuits you need to find alternative healthy snacks. There is no need to give up all of these snacks permanently but they will be a major hindrance if you want to lose weight quickly.

Choose snacks that have less fat and are healthy. Some suggestions are:

Salad snacks

Nuts (almonds, peanuts, cashews)

Fresh fruit Oatcakes,

Digestives or crackers

Cereal and breakfast bars
